A colourful new sports arena accompanies an outdoor gym zone at Park Hall Academy.
The Stoke-on-Trent School worked with our team to design a multifunctional sports area to inspire pupils, parents and teachers to get active.
Our installers supplied and fitted an artificial coloured grass court with markings for basketball, netball and football.
A four-lane running track was also included with a mile-a-day lap counter.
A striking blue square marks out the outdoor gym, with red patches highlighting the location of the equipment.
Pupils have a Horse RiderSky StepperRower and Energise multi gym to choose from when taking part in active play and PE lessons.
Park Hall Academy strongly supports the PE curriculum and has achieved the gold School Games Mark for its commitment to the development of competition across the school.
The new sports arena and surfacing was partly funded by the Primary PE and Sport Premium.
Staff encourage pupils to use the outdoor gym during break times and PE lessons and sports clubs include circuit training activities.
Sports ambassadors are also being chosen to engage their fellow pupils in physical activity and more training is planned for the development of high quality PE lessons.
Park Hall Academy also timetables sessions on the arena so every pupil is given a chance to take part in fitness challenges.
Plans are also in place to offer the academy’s facilities as a location for inter-school sporting events.
