Case Study: Alton Infants School, Hampshire.

Alton Infants School, Hampshire.

Hand Made Places have installed both an outdoor play and learning area for the pupils at Alton Infants School in Hampshire.

The school opted for a Bespoke Rainbow Pergola, which added a new shaded outdoor classroom area which is suitable for use in all weather conditions.

The interesting UV protected rainbow roof, offers children a fun and interesting alternative to their regular classroom.

By combining the outdoor elements with learning activities, the young children can enjoy learning through play in a relaxed outdoor environment.

Within this outdoor classroom area are new Chalk Board & Dry Wipe Board which can be used by either the children or the teachers during outdoor lesson time.

In addition to this, the outdoor classroom also harbours the Extra Large Sand Pit – Which can be used to demonstrate weighing, measuring and transporting.

Under the shaded outdoor classroom area is also the Mini-Microworld table which can be used for role play. In addition to this EYFS students can use this table to develop CAL, by learning the sounds which certain animals make. Perfect for any infant school.

On top of the products which are featured underneath the pergola, Hand Made Places also installed a Star Stage, and Chimes. These two pieces were installed to encourage performance amongst the younger children.

Encouraging performance can help to build self-confidence and boost self-esteem.

In addition to this also installed was the Concave Mirror. This piece is great fun for little ones and helps them to demonstrate different perspectives.

Finally installed were the modular radius seats, these provide pupils with a place to sit and relax whilst enjoying outdoor play.
