Barncroft Primary School contacted Hand Made Places in July 2013 with a view to developing a disused area of grass within the school grounds. The Infant and Junior Schools amalgamated in 2011 and moved into their new primary school in 2012, plans soon began to transform the grounds to compliment the impressive new building.
School Business Manager Sally Blackhall had worked with us before at her previous school so she was familiar with our products and ability to offer bespoke solutions. The school were looking for a challenging physical play area to be used by all the pupils along with some all weather surfacing. Our proposal included a mixture of bespoke and standard units featuring nets, bars, balancing and children’s climbing equipment on a bound rubber surface. Our designs impressed the staff and provided the diverse range of physical challenges they wanted to provide for their energetic bunch of students!
