Case Study: Howes Primary School

Howes Primary School

Howes Primary School and Hearing Impaired Unit in Coventry initially approached us for our concepts and after various consultations it was agreed that we would take on the development of the entire outdoor area. This was an extensive task and our team were eager to take on the challenge.

Following close consultation with the school and site staff it was apparent that the schools requirements were not just for a playground; but for an outdoor learning area too. They wanted to create an outside area for both learning and play, enhancing the quality of education and environmental awareness. They also required the area to be inclusive therefore all ages and abilities of pupils within the school could enjoy using the area.

Our talented team came up with a wonderful design incorporating such items as water & sand play equipment, planters, sensory items, bridges, totem poles, various surfaces even and performance area!

Within weeks all the items were hand crafted in our specialist workshop based in Hampshire and installed on an agreed convenient date through the summer holidays. The school was extremely happy with the final result and perhaps more importantly so were the school children.
