Raglan School in Bromley were looking to create an exciting area for outdoor learning which allowed its pupils imagination to run wild whilst providing some shelter against the elements.

They wanted an area for story telling and imaginative play for pupils to explore and learn. The area reserved for this provided some slight difficulties initially due to manholes and drainage issues, but we came up with a solution we thought the staff and pupils would love.

We created a Viking Longboat Classroom, which gave plenty of opportunity for   imaginative play whilst creating an area for outdoor learning and story telling. The Longboat was surrounded by colourful wet pour surfacing which provided extra play value to the pupils; giving the feeling of Vikings at Sea.

In addition we were also asked to replace an existing outdoor shelter with one of our Darell Gazebos. We filled it with a Storytellers chair and bespoke modular seating, each one engraved with unique statements provided by the school.

Both outdoor learning areas have proved to be a big hit at the school and played a key part in their Raglan in Bloom event!
