Case Study: Waddesdon Manor – Bespoke Embankment Slide

Waddesdon Manor – Bespoke Embankment Slide

Our Client required a vast embankment slide to be installed onto an existing area of unused woodland.

It had to blend in to the natural surrounding as much as possible and be fully enclosed to prevent the users from exiting the sides of the slide.

Once the client had cleared the trees it was realised that the angle of the embankment was not steep enough for a slide.

To get around this issue, we constructed a large 5m high timber castle tower with an easy access ramp suitable for all ages.

Around the newly installed equipment we laid our Woodland Play “bark look” rubber safety surfacing, we also created a pathway using this product  linking the newly installed equipment to an existing timber decked walkway.
