Hand Made Places recently completed a project for Fairisle Junior School. They were looking to revamp their outdoor play area so it would cater to their diverse student body and provide a fun and safe environment for children to play in.

Our team of designers worked closely with the school to understand their needs and vision for the new playground.

We were able to create a custom playground that included a variety of play structures, including a Balance Weaver, Amazon Rope Climber, Rope Walk, Stepping Log, Swing Steps, V-Bridge, Wobble Bridge, Humpback Steps, Trapeze Ropes, and a Rota Log. We also incorporated Parallel Bars and a A-Frame Climber to encourage physical activity and exploration.

Our installation team surfaced the play area with rubber mulch, which provides the children with a soft and bouncy surface to play on. This type of surfacing is also water resistant, quick drying and won’t let puddles form, no matter how much it rains!

The school was thrilled with the final result, and the students were very eager to start playing on the new equipment. We received positive feedback from parents, teachers, and students alike, and we're proud to have been a part of creating a safe and enjoyable play space for the school community.
