Deepdale Shopping Park, Preston - Playground Area

Deepdale Co Ownership Trust required a playground area to be installed at Deepdale Retail Park, in Preston. The playground combines a range of products to provide a variety of play opportunities to children.

The focal point of the playground is the Action Station which provides range of play features. The Action Station includes a slide, fireman’s pole, tunnel, net ramps and a bridge, creating opportunities for imaginative play.

A play boat allows imaginations to flow, the timber low level structure creates a fun themed area for children to enjoy. The blue wet pour safety surfacing surrounding the play boat adds to the ocean theme.

A duck & weave, part of the trim trail range, provides a twist on the traditional balance beam. It adds another element of play to the playground, and develops balance and co-ordination skills.

The two springies are ideal for younger children visiting the play area. A selection of activity panels provide challenges for children to complete. The activity panels include a mazes, noughts and crosses and a dizzy disc.

Wave benches were installed to provide an area for parents to sit and oversee their children engage in active and imaginative play.

The playground was complemented with a mixture of yellow, blue and green wet pour surfacing, to create a fun, colourful and welcoming play space.

A mixture of bespoke Picket and Fortress fence panels created a designated area where children could play safely away from the cars and people shopping at the retail park.
